COSTUME TIPS!
If your dancer has a tutu on their costume, hang it upside down (by crotch) to keep it fluffy!
Do NOT let your dancer play in their costume or wear their costume at home before the recital! After the recital it is all yours!
Make sure your dancer is wearing a ‘cover up’ over their costume when they are not dancing. We recommend a loose zip up jacket to wear over their costume.
Label all items with their name or initials, including any hairpieces or props, tights, and shoes. Keep all loose items in a large ziploc bag.
If your dancer has more than one costume, bring a garment bag with your dancer’s name on the outside of the costume bag for Photo Day, Dress Rehearsal, and Recital. Label the costume on the inside with their name in it.
Your dancer needs to come in full costume/hair/makeup upon arrival at Dress Rehearsal and Recital. Parents will not be allowed backstage or in the dressing rooms to get them dressed, so they must come fully prepared!
