There are many different types of classes for both Adults and Children that are offered at Intrigue. Classes can seasonally change so make sure to check frequently for new class offerings.

There are two studios at Intrigue. Please take time to explore the prices and descriptions for each of the classes as well.

*$30 yearly registration fee (applicable to both old and new students, one per family). Registration fee is waived if semester is paid in full by first week of class (week of August 30th, 2010).
*Class prices based on one-hour class sessions. Prices may vary for specialty classes.
*Prices may vary for one and a half hour classes and specialty classes.
*Monthly payment plans are available upon request.

class descriptions

kid and adult ballet
Ballet is the basis of all forms of dance. Ballet gives the dancer the ability to create a strong foundation for any dance style, and teaches proper control, technique, strength, and flexibility.

kids and adult jazz
Jazz encompasses many different styles of music, movement, and creativity. It teaches strength, flexibility, agility, emotion, grace, and perseverance. From contemporary jazz to classical jazz, this form of dance is important in creating a well-rounded dancer.

kid and adult tap
Tap is a great way for dancers to find their musicality and rhythm. Tap teaches coordination, syncopation, control, and agility. This dance form is very popular and is seen in many musical theater shows and movies.

kid and adult hip hop
One of the most popular forms of dance today, hip-hop is seen in many music videos, movies, and stage shows. Dancers usually dance to current, popular music heard on the radio and wear street attire to class. Hip-hop is fun, creative, stylistic, and sure to be a crowd pleaser!

creative movement
For Children 2-4 yrs old, this class is a fun way to get your child moving and interacting with other children using movement, songs, and group activities. Creative movement is a great form of pre-dance in preparation for regular dance classes.

mommy and me classes
This class is specifically for 6mths-24mths old babies/toddlers and their mothers/fathers. Mommy and me incorporates music, movement, and the interaction with mother and child. Help your childē—“ development in a fun and safe atmosphere.

movement for musical theater
This class is for adults aspiring to better their dance ability for musical theater purposes. The class will focus on specific dance vocabulary and different genres of dance that are vital to the auditioning process.

pilates
Pilates is a great way to exercise, build core strength, and gain flexibility while improving your mental and physical well-being. This specific technique gives your body a unique workout, and is for dancers and non-dancers alike!

cardio strip tease
This adult class is a high-energy, calorie-burning, fun-filled hour full of non-stop dancing. Our instructors will show you how to strut your stuff and exercise at the same time!

strength and stretch
This class offers a great workout for both dancers and non-dancers. It is designed to help increase your flexibility, while maintaining and increasing your overall strength. The exercises taught include strengthening of your core, a wide variety of stretching techniques to enhance overall flexibility and muscle tone, and strengthening exercises for your upper and lower body.


class levels

novice jazz and ballet classes
For the absolute beginner. These classes focus on terminology, beginning technique, and dance movement for anyone with little to no experience.

beginning classes
For dancers who have had little to some experience training in dance. For jazz and ballet classes, dancers should have a good knowledge of terminology and beginning technique.

advanced beginners / intermediate classes
For dancers with at least 3 years experience.

intermediate / advanced classes
For dancers with at least 5 years experience. These classes are catered for the dancer who is more serious about their dance education.
